Become Part of the Solution

OpenSource: Cardiology is a physician-led, open-access cardiology journal built on a distinctive model: our Editorial Board is our sole reviewer pool, so every manuscript is judged by committed, credentialed experts who are deeply invested in the field.

There are three ways to take part:

  • Author — Submit, track, and publish original research, reviews, and editorials through our streamlined portal. Open-access, with AI-assisted formatting — no laborious reformatting to fit a house style.
  • Editorial Board Reviewer — Our exclusively curated reviewer pool and the sole source of peer review for the journal. Review manuscripts in your subspecialty. Every active reviewer earns an editorial-board appointment for their CV, and each timely, high-quality review (respond within 3 days, complete within 7) earns credits redeemable for gift cards, a no-cost editorial, or a pathway to co-authorship.
  • Associate Editor — Oversee manuscripts end-to-end within your area of expertise (~10 per year): assess submissions, invite reviewers within 3 days, and render editorial decisions. Five-star handlings earn the same credits and recognition — including gift cards, editorials, and co-authorship eligibility.

Everyone starts as an author. Tell us which role you're interested in when you sign up — our editors review each request and follow up about editorial appointments. For full expectations, see our Reviewer Guidelines.
